With safe paddocks, a highly experienced equine veterinarian on hand (and attending every foaling) Olive Grove can provide peace of mind for your valuable mare when she foals down. Foaling inherently carries risk to both your mare and her foal, but having expertise immediately on hand can reduce that risk. Mares typically arrive 1-2 weeks prior to their due date, or when they start to develop an udder. Post foaling, we generally recommend the mare remains here for approximately 7 -10 days, where they can be closely monitored for any issues in that high risk period. Please note that we have strict limitation on numbers for foaling down and mares must be due by 7/11/25. Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance.
